Work Permits
Work Permit Application
To receive a Work Permit from the school, students must:
- Be at least 14 years of age.
- Complete the Work Permit Application above with the employer, a physician (for 14-15 year olds only), and their parent or guardian.
- Schedule an appointment with the main office to complete the formal permit. Students must be present to sign and receive the permit.

Libertas Academy students are expected to have an updated physical and immunization file on record at all times. These records must be updated on an annual basis, as determined by the last date the student received a physical or immunization assessment.
Students without updated physicals will be unable to participate in athletics programming.

Parent Engagement Corner
We deeply value our partnership with parents and families and believe that strong family engagement is essential to student success. Our Parent Engagement Coordinator helps create meaningful opportunities for families to stay informed, share feedback, build community, and partner with the school.
Families can engage with Libertas through:
- Parent-Advisor Relationships: Regular communication and ongoing connection between families and their student’s advisor
- Quarterly Progress Report Nights: Opportunities to review student progress and connect with teachers and staff
- Family Surveys: Twice-yearly opportunities to share feedback and help us strengthen the family experience
- Family Community Groups: Opportunities for families to connect with one another and build community around shared interests and experiences
Student, Parent & Advisor Partnership
At Libertas, we believe every student and family deserves a champion. Every student is paired with a dedicated advisor who supports their academic, personal, and college journey throughout their time at Libertas.
Families are an essential part of the advising partnership. Advisors communicate with parents and guardians to share updates, celebrate student progress, address challenges, and work together to support each student’s success.
Through this ongoing partnership, students, families, and advisors work as a team to help every student build the skills, habits, and confidence needed to thrive in college, career, and life.
Your voice matters. We regularly seek feedback from families to strengthen our advising program and ensure that every family feels informed, supported, and connected to their student’s experience at Libertas.
Parent Leader Community (PLC)

Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC)
To all families of a student with an IEP or 504 plan, the Special Education Parent Advisory Council serves as an important part of our special education support and family communication efforts. The success of our SEPAC depends on strong relationships between parents, guardians, school staff and leaders, and community members. English Leaner Parent Advisory Council (ELPAC)
The English Learner Parent Advisory Council is a group of parents and legal guardians of students who are English Language Learners to help advise related programming at Libertas Academy Charter School. The success of our ELPAC depends on building supportive and trusting collaborative partnerships among and between parents, guardians, school staff and leaders, and community members.
