Our founding families believed deeply in the power of a strong school—and over the years, that belief has grown into a 6–12 public charter school with a bold mission: Through rigorous academics, character development, and strong supports for every learner, Libertas Academy prepares all students to succeed in the college of their choice and become positive, engaged members of their communities.

At Libertas, we hold a core belief that every student—regardless of zip code, race, or background—can and will achieve at high levels when given access to a challenging, college-preparatory education and deeply invested adults.

We use a variety of instructional strategies to execute a rigorous academic program complete with character development and academic, social, and emotional components. We embrace inquiry-based lessons that position students to engage in critical thinking, speaking, writing, and practice for the majority of learning time. At the core of it all, the most important skill our students must possess is the ability to read. Reading is the gateway to a life of opportunities.
